  • Music Theater Heritage 2450 Grand Boulevard Kansas City, MO, 64108 United States (map)

Join us for a “Pay What You Can” dance workshop Sunday, August 9th | 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM

No prior experience required!

Slip into the sleek, stylized world of jazz theater as we celebrate the legendary influence of Ann Reinking and Gwen Verdon. Two iconic performers whose artistry helped shape and carry forward the unmistakable choreography and theatrical style of Bob Fosse. From smoky cabaret glamour to razor-sharp precision, their work defined an era of Broadway dance that still captivates audiences today.

This workshop will dive into jazz and musical theater–inspired movement with a focus on performance quality, musicality, storytelling, and signature Fosse-inspired details. Expect stylized movement, playful attitude, clean lines, and plenty of theatrical flair in a welcoming, low-pressure environment designed for dancers of all experience levels.

Whether you’re a longtime musical theater lover or simply looking to try something new, come spend your Sunday moving, grooving, and embracing a little vintage Broadway magic.
