Chorus Girl Workshop: The Goldwyn Girls

  • Music Theater Heritage 2450 Grand Blvd STE 301, Kansas City, MO 64108 Kansas City United States (map)

Step into the glamour of Hollywood’s Golden Age and discover the legacy of the iconic Goldwyn Girls—the elite chorus dancers assembled by producer Samuel Goldwyn in the 1930s and 1940s. These women defined precision, polish, and star quality in early film musicals and helped launch the careers of performers like Lucille Ball.

In this workshop, participants will explore classic chorus-style movement inspired by Old Hollywood, focusing on posture, synchronization, musicality, and stage presence. Through guided warm-ups, foundational steps, and a short group routine, dancers will experience what it meant to train and perform as a Hollywood chorus girl.

No prior dance experience required—this workshop is designed to be inclusive, empowering, and fun, honoring the legacy of chorus girls while celebrating confidence, individuality, and collective performance.

All levels welcome.

Reminder this workshop is “Pay What You Can”, pay at the door or in advance.
